Hi I am Allyson. I started working at St Mary’s Preschool in September 2015. I am a qualified teacher and spent my early career working in Reception classes. I became interested in early years education, realising how crucial these years are to a child’s development and learning.

Hi, I am Caroline. I joined St Mary’s Preschool in September 2018. I have been involved in forest school for many years now, originally training at Marston Forest. I enjoy being outside and exploring nature with the children.

I am Katie. I joined the preschool in September 2017 as bank staff and started working as 1:1 supporting children with additional needs, both of which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I find working in childcare is both rewarding and gives me opportunities to learn new things within the educational system.

Hi, I'm Sophie. I started working at St Mary's in 2024. I help support Allyson and Caroline with the administrative jobs involved in running the pre school. I love that I get to still be involved in education since I stopped teaching in schools.

The Preschool Management Committee is a part of the Parochial Church Council (PCC). While the day-to-day running of the preschool remains the responsibility of the staff team, the committee meets regularly to provide strategic oversight and support for the preschool. The committee discusses key areas including health and safety, finances, staffing, policies, safeguarding, and the long-term development of the preschool, ensuring it continues to provide a safe, nurturing and sustainable environment for children and families. Parents and carers are always welcome to contact the committee with any thoughts, questions or concerns.
Our committee chair and nominated individual is Pauline Kendall. Pauline has a wealth of experience within the education sector and is also chair of governors at Holywell School, as well as being part of the Parochial Church Council.
